Boaters -- learn to shoot emergency flares at free event

Boaters will have the chance to shoot off emergency flares, and to get instruction in using the devices, at a Flare/Up event 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club, 555 S.
