Over Labor Day weekend, President Obama's request to play at one of the Hudson Valley's elite golf courses was rejected by club managers, according to a report on Channel 4, NBCnewyork.com. Among the clubs with closed doors: Trump National Golf Course in Briarcliff Manor, Winged Foot in Mamaroneck and Willow Ridge in Harrison, according to Channel 4. "Club managers apparently did not want to inconvenience their high-powered and high-paying members over Labor Day weekend by shutting down their courses to accommodate the president," Jonathan Dienst wrote on NBCnewyork.com.
