Mamaroneck Receives $50,000 for Tree and Sidewalk Improvements

The state Department of Environmental Conservation has awarded Mamaroneck $50,000 to go toward tree and sidewalk improvement projects in the community, the DEC announced Wednesday. Under the DEC's Urban Forestry program, Mamaroneck's $50,000 will be split into two $25,000 grants, one for "Preparation of Tree Management Program for the Village of Mamaroneck," and the other for "High Priority Tree Maintenance and Sidewalk Repair Initiative."
