Jewish Home Lifecare, which has a campus at Sarah Neuman Center in Mamaroneck will focus on patient capacity and the practice of palliative care at its 12th annual Palliative Care Conference on Wednesday, Nov. 11 8:30 a.m. 3:30 p.m. The event will be at The UJA Federation of New York- 130 East 59th St., 7th Floor, New York, N.Y. The morning will feature two presentations from Daniel Maher, a nurse practitioner specializing in geriatrics at RUSH University Medical Center and Erica F. Wood, assistant director of the American Bar Association's Commission on Law and Aging. Wood will give a talk on patient capacity, i.e. neurophysiology and the legal issues involved in palliative care.
