MAMARONECK, N.Y. St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Mamaroneck is scheduled to receive and unload its annual pumpkin delivery from the Navajo Indian Reservation in New Mexico at 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3. The pumpkins are grown at the Navajo Reservation, and made available to the church through the Pumpkin Patch USA organization. Pumpkin purchases help provide revenue for the tribe, and the pumpkins are used to form a "patch" at the parish house, where children can select a pumpkin to take home.
